Our People The number one
reason folks join Heritage Presbyterian Church is the people. You will
find the congregation to be warm and welcoming from the moment you
reach our doors. The reason for this welcome is that we understand that
we have been welcomed by Christ and we want to share that peace with
you. We were all strangers at one time, now in Christ, we are united
with one another.
Our History Heritage
was organized in April 1981 by the Presbytery of Grand Canyon. Our
administration and education building is the former home of the
Herberger family who donated their house to the presbytery for use by
one of its churches. This historic ranch building was moved from
Scottsdale to Glendale in 1978 in three separate sections. The
sanctuary was built a few years later when Heritage House could no
longer accommodate large gatherings for worship.
Our Mission The introductory sentence of our mission statement captures our vision and mission in a nutshell: "We
are ordinary people serving an extraordinary God. We seek to build a
life of dynamic discipleship for people of faith, to re-engage people of
tired faith, and to introduce people without faith to Christ."
