Pastor Karen was born in Utica, New York. She moved to Phoenix with her family when her father was transferred by General Electric. She received her undergraduate degree in management from the University of Phoenix and her masters of divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, California, and Fuller Southwest, Phoenix, Arizona. She later received her doctorate in pastoral theology from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. She was called to serve as Pastor at Heritage in 1999. Pastor Karen enjoys creating meaningful, spirit-filled worship services. She is a Bible teacher who links the word of God to everyday living to help encourage and build disciples of Christ to serve in today's world. She has served as moderator of the Grand Canyon Presbytery. Reading, bicycling, hiking and gardening are some of her favorite things to do when not in the office. She is married and has two daughters and three grandchildren.
